Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards, in coordination with the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC), have foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of contraband in Balochistan\u2019s Pishukan area, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the the military wing\u2019s media, the joint intelligence-based operation was conducted on actionable intelligence regarding the suspected smuggling activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The operation resulted in the seizure of a sizeable quantity of liquor and illegal medicines, ISPR said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The confiscated items were handed over to the Pakistan Coast Guards for further legal proceedings, according to the military\u2019s media wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ISPR said the operation demonstrated the effectiveness of coordination among relevant agencies in combating smuggling and other illicit activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It also reaffirmed the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards\u2019 resolve to prevent the use of Pakistani waters and territory for illegal activities, the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
