Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar said on Sunday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had introduced a relief scheme to shield the people from the impact of rising petroleum products\u2019 prices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talking about Fuel Relief Scheme, Tarar said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was personally overseeing the scheme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister said that the prime minister had set the eligibility criteria for motorcycles, motorcycle rickshaws, and rickshaws to include vehicles up to 20 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Motorcycles and rickshaws registered after January 1, 2006, are eligible, Atta Tarar said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said 2.2 million people had registered for the scheme, and 1.9 million tokens had been issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court has directed that roads must not be blocked and traffic flow must not be disrupted, Federal Information Minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said government will not allow public life to be disrupted in compliance with the Islamabad High Court’s order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Islamabad’s roads will remain open; we will not allow any violent mob to enter, Atta Tarar said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
