LAHORE: In a significant administrative reshuffle within the judiciary, 94 civil judges have been transferred and posted across Punjab, including Lahore and several other districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to official details, Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Justice Aalia Neelum, approved the large-scale transfer and posting order aimed at improving judicial efficiency and balancing workload across different regions. The transferred judges have been directed to assume charge at their new postings by May 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The official notification outlines multiple inter-district postings involving civil judges serving in various judicial stations across the province. Authorities said the changes are part of routine administrative adjustments intended to strengthen the judicial system and ensure smoother case management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the key transfers, Civil Judge Muhammad Asif Nawaz has been moved from Multan to Jhelum, while Civil Judge Huma Altaf has been transferred from Hussainabad to Mandi Bahauddin. Similarly, Civil Judge Shahbaz Hussain has been posted from Sheikhupura to Chunian, and Civil Judge Saima Tabassum has been shifted from Sialkot to Chunian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other notable postings include Civil Judge Kaleemullah, who has been transferred from Dera Ghazi Khan to Narowal, and Civil Judge Abdul Sattar, who has been moved from Gujrat to Burewala. These transfers are part of a broader reshuffle affecting multiple districts across the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the notification, as many as 18 civil judges from Lahore alone have been included in the transfer list, reflecting the scale of the reshuffle in the provincial capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Judicial sources said the transfers are aimed at improving administrative efficiency, ensuring equitable distribution of judicial workload, and enhancing the speed of case disposal across subordinate courts in Punjab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They added that such postings are a routine feature of judicial administration, carried out periodically to bring fresh experience to different courts and maintain balance in judicial performance across districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Legal experts note that large-scale transfers of judicial officers often help address backlogs in courts, improve case management, and ensure that no single district remains overburdened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All transferred judges have been instructed to report to their new postings within the stipulated timeframe and immediately resume judicial duties to avoid disruption in court proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
