Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja has claimed that the \u201cunjust imprisonment\u201d of PTI founder Imran Khan has completed 1,000 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at a Labour Day protest held outside the Lahore Press Club, Raja said that the country has become increasingly difficult for the poor. The demonstration was organized by the Haqooq-e-Khalq Party and attended by several opposition figures, including Opposition Leader \u0645\u062d\u0645\u0648\u062f Achakzai, Asad Qaiser, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing the gathering, Mahmood Achakzai acknowledged shortcomings in organizing labor groups, stating that workers have not been effectively mobilized. He also criticized political efforts to sideline Imran Khan, asserting that the PTI founder has committed no crime and should not be in jail. He emphasized that the Constitution must be upheld equally for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salman Akram Raja, in his speech, reiterated that Imran Khan\u2019s imprisonment is unjust and highlighted the struggles faced by workers and low-income groups. He recalled Khan\u2019s policies during the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming that efforts were made to protect jobs and provide healthcare support through initiatives like the Sehat Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser also addressed the protest, stating that many workers are struggling to provide basic necessities for their families. He further criticized the current situation of farmers, particularly wheat growers in Punjab, saying they have been severely affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
