BADIN:<\/strong> The father of a young man whose body was found hanging from a tree near the railway station in Badin has alleged that his son was murdered and that the incident is being portrayed as a suicide in an attempt to weaken the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at a press conference at the National Press Club Badin, Abdullah Mallah<\/strong>, son of Sojan Mallah, along with Ghulam Rasool Mallah, Suleman Mallah, Qabool Mallah, Noor Muhammad Mallah and Abbas Mallah, demanded a transparent and impartial investigation into the death of his son Ayaz Mallah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdullah said his son had allegedly been killed around four months earlier and that his body was subsequently found hanging from a tree near the railway station. He alleged that police initially described Ayaz as a drug user and treated the incident as a case of suicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family, however, said they had suspected from the beginning that Ayaz had been murdered. Abdullah said they approached the SHO of Badin soon after the incident and expressed their concerns, but were allegedly told to wait until the post-mortem report was received before further action could be taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Abdullah, the family later came across a witness who allegedly saw Ayaz arguing with Hafeez Abbasi<\/strong> and others while the witness was returning from his duty as a watchman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family claimed that the watchman tried to intervene but was allegedly told by Hafeez Abbasi that it was a personal matter and that he should leave. According to the family, the witness left the scene after allegedly being threatened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family Rejects Suicide Theory<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The family strongly rejected the suggestion that Ayaz had committed suicide and questioned several circumstances surrounding the discovery of his body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They pointed to the fact that the deceased was allegedly wearing sandals when he was found hanging. They also claimed that, in addition to a rope around his neck, a towel was tied around his neck and that the body had dirt on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family said a wooden branch was also found near the body and argued that these details warranted a detailed forensic examination of the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They further questioned certain findings they attributed to the post-mortem report. According to the family, the report did not indicate a fractured neck vertebra or bleeding from the nose and mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The relatives argued that these issues should be examined carefully before the death is classified as suicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also questioned how a person intending to take their own life could allegedly have fallen or rolled on the ground, climbed a tree while wearing sandals, tied a rope around the neck and then additionally tied a towel before hanging themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family said these circumstances raised serious questions that could only be resolved through a thorough investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the family’s allegations do not by themselves establish that the death was a murder. Determining whether the incident was suicide, homicide or another form of death would require examination of the complete post-mortem report, forensic evidence, the crime scene and statements from witnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allegations of Land Dispute Denied<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During the press conference, journalists also questioned the family about allegations that they were acting on behalf of Qazi Imtiaz<\/strong>, reportedly in connection with an existing family land dispute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdullah Mallah and Ghulam Rasool Mallah rejected the allegations and said they had no relationship with Qazi Imtiaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They maintained that their only concern was the death of their family member and that they were seeking justice for Ayaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family also said the names included in their FIR were not given arbitrarily. They claimed that the suspects were nominated after information and witness accounts became available during their efforts to establish what had happened.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
