NEW DELHI:<\/strong> Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran has no dispute with Muslim or neighboring countries and accused the United States of seeking to portray Iran as an enemy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in the Indian capital New Delhi, Pezeshkian said Iran had no disagreements with its neighboring countries and did not want the continuation of war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian president said that peace remains Iran\u2019s priority<\/strong>, emphasizing that Tehran does not want to prolong conflict in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pezeshkian said Iran wants the rights of the Iranian people to be respected and called for what he described as unjust sanctions against his country to be lifted. He added that Iran seeks recognition and protection of its rights under the international system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have no differences with Muslim countries or neighboring countries,\u201d Pezeshkian said, according to the remarks reported from his meeting with the Malaysian prime minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He alleged that the United States was attempting to turn Iran into an enemy in the eyes of other countries. He further claimed that the United States, Israel and European countries wanted to prevent countries in the region from remaining independent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pezeshkian\u2019s comments came as regional tensions remain high and international attention continues to focus on Iran\u2019s relations with the United States, Israel and neighboring states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian president stressed that Tehran\u2019s preferred approach was diplomacy and peaceful engagement rather than continued military confrontation. He also emphasized the importance of respecting Iran\u2019s national and international rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran has repeatedly argued that its foreign policy is based on maintaining relations with neighboring countries and strengthening cooperation with Muslim states. Tehran has also criticized international sanctions, arguing that they place pressure on the Iranian population and restrict Iran\u2019s economic and political rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting in New Delhi, Pezeshkian\u2019s comments reflected Iran\u2019s effort to distinguish its relations with neighboring and Muslim countries from its confrontation with Western powers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian president\u2019s remarks also highlighted Tehran\u2019s position that regional countries should be allowed to pursue independent foreign policies without outside pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pezeshkian said Iran does not seek conflict with its neighbors and continues to favor peace. At the same time, he maintained that Tehran would continue to demand respect for the rights of the Iranian people and the removal of sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His meeting with Anwar Ibrahim provided an opportunity for Iran to communicate its position to another Muslim-majority country and discuss the broader regional situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian president\u2019s statement comes against the backdrop of continuing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, where competing security and foreign-policy interests have increased pressure on regional governments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
