According to rescue officials, the death toll from the incident has risen to five, while two other people were injured in the collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police officials said the incident occurred when a weakened section of the school\u2019s boundary wall suddenly gave way. According to preliminary information, people who were reportedly addicted to drugs frequently gathered near the site and had allegedly been attempting to remove iron rods from the wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police said the repeated removal of reinforcement steel may have weakened the structure over time, increasing the risk of collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West said that seven people were initially trapped under the rubble<\/strong> after the wall collapsed. Rescue teams reached the scene and began removing debris to locate and recover those trapped underneath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two people were rescued with injuries and shifted for medical treatment, while five others were pronounced dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collapse and the condition of the school wall. The incident has also raised concerns about the safety of old and deteriorating structures around public schools in densely populated areas of Karachi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
