Additional Director Social Welfare Department Naeem Ahmed Memon, Principal IBA College Tariq Nizamani, Assistant Commissioner (UT) Aliza Rana, Taluka Education Officer Shamshad Raho and other officials and community representatives also participated.

Journalists from the Naushahro Feroze Press Club, teachers and students from Bahria College Naushahro Feroze and IBA Community College, social activists and representatives of various government departments attended the event.

The participants discussed the growing need to promote peace, brotherhood, tolerance and social harmony and stressed that collective efforts were necessary to prevent extremism and violence from taking root in society.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Usman Arif said extremism was like poison for any civilized society. He emphasized that young people could be protected from extremist thinking by providing them with quality education, awareness and opportunities to participate in healthy and constructive activities.

He said that young people represented the future of the country and that their intellectual and social development was essential for building a peaceful and progressive society. According to him, providing youth with education and positive opportunities could help them resist negative influences and extremist ideologies.

The assistant commissioner said the district administration, educational institutions, teachers, students, journalists and civil society would have to work together to spread the message of peace, tolerance and love among citizens.

He announced that an awareness campaign would be launched in educational institutions to educate students about the dangers of extremism, intolerance, hatred and violence. The objective of the campaign, he said, would be to ensure that young people were given the knowledge and awareness necessary to reject violent and extremist ideas.

Speakers at the seminar also highlighted the important role of the media in combating extremism and promoting social harmony. They said journalists and representatives of social media platforms should play a responsible role in preventing the spread of unverified information.

They stressed that the circulation of false or unverified news could create misunderstandings, increase tensions and contribute to hatred within society. Therefore, media professionals were urged to verify information before publishing or sharing it.

The participants said that combating violence, extremism and intolerance was not solely the responsibility of the government or law enforcement agencies. Rather, every citizen had a role to play in creating a peaceful and tolerant society.

They emphasized the need to educate children about peace, compassion, respect and tolerance from an early age. The speakers said children should be taught to respect people regardless of their color, race, ethnicity, nationality or language.

They stressed that all individuals should be treated equally on the basis of humanity and that differences in identity should never become a reason for hatred or discrimination.

The speakers further highlighted the importance of supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged sections of society. They called for greater compassion and kindness toward poor and marginalized people so that extremist or criminal elements could not exploit their difficulties and lure them into harmful activities.

According to the participants, poverty, lack of awareness and social isolation can sometimes make vulnerable individuals susceptible to negative influences. Providing them with support, education and opportunities, they said, could help prevent their exploitation by anti-social elements.

The seminar also emphasized the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and civil society organizations. Participants said schools and colleges could serve as important platforms for promoting tolerance, critical thinking and peaceful coexistence among young people.

The speakers maintained that sustainable national development was not possible without peace and social stability. They said eliminating extremism and promoting tolerance were essential for the country’s economic, social and political progress.

They urged parents, teachers, religious scholars, journalists, government officials and community leaders to work collectively to create an environment in which young people could develop positive attitudes and reject violence.

The participants also called for responsible use of social media, particularly among young people. They said social media could be used as a powerful tool to spread positive messages, but irresponsible sharing of misinformation and hate-driven content could have serious consequences.

The seminar concluded with a renewed commitment by participants to promote peace, brotherhood, tolerance and mutual respect in society. They expressed the hope that awareness initiatives in educational institutions would help build a generation that rejects extremism and embraces peaceful coexistence.

At the end of the seminar, a special prayer was offered for peace, prosperity, development and stability in the country and for the well-being of the nation.

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A seminar focusing on the need to eliminate extremism, intolerance and violence from society was organized in Naushahro Feroze with the collaboration of the..

[4

post-15211","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-leading
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/11111-2026-09-10T182923.536.png",800,927,false
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/11111-2026-09-10T182923.536-150x150.png",150,150,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/11111-2026-09-10T182923.536-259x300.png",259,300,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/11111-2026-09-10T182923.536-768x890.png",768,890,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/11111-2026-09-10T182923.536.png",800,927,false],"1536x1536":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/11111-2026-09-10T182923.536.png",800,927,false],"2048x2048":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/11111-2026-09-10T182923.536.png",800,927,false
admin
["GET
