He welcomed proposals from the business community aimed at promoting export-oriented economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking at the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said the purpose of the consultation was to seek the business community\u2019s input on measures to strengthen an export-led economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the government was taking effective steps to improve the ease of doing business, while reducing energy costs remained among its key priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite difficult circumstances, the government had introduced fundamental reforms through consultation with stakeholders, the prime minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shehbaz further said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had recovered&nbsp;<strong>Rs800 billion in one year through enforcement measures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He attributed significant improvement in the country\u2019s macroeconomic conditions to the efforts of the government\u2019s economic team.
