GHOTKI: At least three people were killed and a woman was injured when a speeding car overturned on the National Highway near Ghotki on Sunday, ARY News reported, citing police.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, the ill-fated vehicle was traveling to Punjab from Sukkur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deceased and the injured woman were shifted to the nearby District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Ghotki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victims of the accident belonged to Ahmedpur Sharqia in Punjab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, the death toll in a head-on collision between a tractor-trolley and a trailer near here soared to seven after three more persons succumbed to their injuries in the accident near here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tractor-trolley carrying a wedding party met with the accident when a trailer coming from the opposite direction rammed into it near Sardar Garh, leaving seven dead and 60 injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to hospital for medical attendance, a district official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Initial report suggested that the accident was the outcome of reckless driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police are further investigating to ascertain the cause of the accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Road accidents are rampant in the region, claiming several lives. Major causes of the traffic mishaps included reckless driving, poor condition of roads, and negligence of traffic rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
