Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the government has made the lives of the laymen difficult as huge rise in petroleum prices are aggravating economic woes of the masses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing public meeting in Swat, JI chief lamented that political parties were indifferent to public issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that government was grabbing 35 percent tax on petroleum from the pockets of the government. JI chief said the government has failed to deliver. He said it was Jamaat-e-Islami that has secured a reduction in electricity bills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hafiz Naeem said the rulers cannot reduce the petroleum levy, JI will announce more sit-in on daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
JI chief said people’s lands in Swat were seized and ownership rights were not being granted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hafiz Naeem said tax relief had been granted to the Malakand Division. Instability was imposed on the people of Malakand; the demand for a tax exemption by the residents of Malakand Division is justified. Hafiz Naeem demanded tax exemption should be granted until conditions return to normal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
