The delay has raised serious questions over the performance of the police, while the promises made by senior police officials regarding the arrest of the killers and a complete investigation into the incident have yet to materialize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to sources, more than four months have elapsed since the martyrdom of police constable Gul Muhammad alias Gulan Taneo. However, no clear progress has emerged regarding the registration and investigation of the case or the arrest of any suspect in connection with his killing. The family of the martyred police official continues to demand justice and immediate action against those responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lack of visible progress in the case has also become a matter of concern among local residents. They have questioned why the investigation has not reached a conclusion despite the passage of several months and why the alleged perpetrators have not yet been brought before the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, another promise made by the then DIG Sukkur and SSP Sukkur regarding the establishment of a police post in the name of the martyred constable at Sehar\u2019s Bagh has also reportedly not been fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to local residents, initial work for the proposed police post had started. A few bricks were placed at the site and the foundation was reportedly dug. However, construction work was subsequently stopped and has not progressed further. The project has consequently remained incomplete for several months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Citizens have questioned the authorities over the delay, saying that if senior police officials had announced the establishment of a police post in the name of the martyred police constable, practical work should have been completed within a reasonable period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The residents further stated that establishing the police post would not only fulfill the commitment made to the family of the deceased officer but would also improve security arrangements in the surrounding area. They demanded that the concerned authorities immediately resume construction work and complete the police post without further delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The heirs of the martyred police constable and residents of the area have appealed to senior police officials to take immediate notice of the matter. They demanded that a transparent and impartial investigation into the murder be conducted and that those responsible for the killing be arrested and brought to justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The family also urged the police authorities to fulfill the promises made after the martyrdom of Gul Muhammad alias Gulan Taneo. They said that the blood of a police official who lost his life while performing his duty should not be forgotten and that his family deserves justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The heirs maintained that they have been waiting for justice for more than four months and that the prolonged delay has caused them further distress. They appealed to the Inspector General of Police and other senior officials to personally monitor the investigation so that the case could be taken to its logical conclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local residents also demanded that the authorities provide adequate security to the family and ensure that all aspects of the incident are investigated. They said that a transparent investigation would help restore public confidence in the police and demonstrate that the sacrifice of police personnel is valued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It may be recalled that police constable Gul Muhammad alias Gulan Taneo was martyred during an encounter between police and alleged robbers near Sehar\u2019s Bagh. According to reports, the confrontation took place over an alleged timber theft incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the exchange of fire, police constable Gul Muhammad alias Gulan Taneo sustained bullet injuries and was martyred on the spot. Another police officer, Bakhtullah Taneo, was also seriously injured after being hit by a bullet during the encounter. He was subsequently shifted to a hospital in Sukkur in critical condition for medical treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incident had caused concern among the police department and local residents, with senior police officials assuring the family that the perpetrators would be identified and arrested. However, according to the report, the family continues to await concrete progress in the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The heirs of the martyred constable have once again appealed to the higher police authorities to ensure justice, arrest the killers and complete the investigation into the incident. They have also demanded that the construction of the police post announced in the name of Gul Muhammad alias Gulan Taneo be completed at the earliest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The family and local residents have emphasized that justice for the martyred police official is not only a matter of personal concern for his heirs but also a responsibility of the department for which he sacrificed his life.
