LARKANA, September 1, 2026: Newly appointed SSP Larkana Azhar Khan Mughal visited the Larkana Press Club and held an introductory meeting with journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking to the media, SSP Azhar Khan said his top priority was to take strict action against drug dealers and eliminate the menace of drugs from Larkana and surrounding areas. He urged journalists, civil society and citizens to cooperate with police in identifying and combating drug-related activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The SSP said police would also prepare an effective strategy to curb robbery, theft and other crimes. He acknowledged the existing performance of Larkana Police and assured that further improvements would soon be visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He strongly condemned killings resulting from personal disputes and practices such as karo-kari, saying such acts would not be tolerated. He also pledged action against violence targeting women, children and transgender persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Azhar Khan said the protection of minorities and their property was also among the police department\u2019s priorities. He announced plans to establish a complaint cell and activate CCTV cameras to improve law and order and monitor criminal activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further said steps would be taken to improve the city\u2019s traffic system and urged citizens to approach his office with their complaints so that their issues could be addressed promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
