SUKKUR: Acting on the directives of the Inspector General of Sindh, Sukkur Police have arrested an alleged drug dealer and recovered 1,060 grams of hashish from his possession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The action follows a viral video of suspected drug dealers that surfaced on social media during the Sindh IG\u2019s visit to Sukkur last month. Taking notice of the video, the IG Sindh directed police to take action against those allegedly involved in drug dealing and ensure their arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the directives, C Section Police conducted an operation near Baban Shah Cemetery in Old Sukkur under the supervision of SSP Sukkur Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry and the ASP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The operation was carried out by the SHO of C Section Police and Chowki In-charge Abdul Sattar Chohan, along with a police team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police arrested the suspect, identified as Zakir Hussain alias Munda, son of Muhammad Murad Mirani, a resident of Mirani Mohalla, Numaish, Old Sukkur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police, 1,060 grams of hashish was recovered from the suspect\u2019s possession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A case has been registered against the arrested suspect under Section 9(3-C) of the Sindh Narcotics Control Act 2024. The case has been registered as FIR No. 306\/2026, and further investigation is underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police officials said the action was part of ongoing efforts to curb drug-related activities in Sukkur and bring suspected drug dealers to justice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
