The protesters maintained that students were facing a number of serious problems that were affecting both their academic activities and daily lives on campus.

The students said that the shortage of clean drinking water was among their major concerns. They also complained about inadequate hostel facilities, transportation problems, insufficient healthcare services and difficulties related to the university library. According to the protesting students, the lack of adequate facilities was creating difficulties for students and adversely affecting the overall academic environment.

Student leaders said that they had repeatedly brought these issues to the attention of the university administration. However, they alleged that their complaints had not been addressed seriously and that no satisfactory measures had been taken to resolve the problems. They urged the administration to listen to students’ concerns and take immediate practical steps instead of allowing the issues to remain unresolved.

During the rally, students also protested against an increase in university fees. They said that rising educational expenses were placing an additional financial burden on students and their families. The protesters demanded that the administration review fee-related policies and avoid measures that could make higher education more difficult for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The students further expressed concern over what they described as unnecessary restrictions and alleged pressure on students. They said that students should be provided with a peaceful, respectful and supportive environment in which they could continue their studies without fear or undue pressure.

Student leaders addressing the protesters said that the purpose of their struggle was not to target any individual member of the university administration. Rather, they said, the movement was aimed at protecting students’ basic rights and ensuring better educational facilities and a conducive academic environment at the university.

They emphasized that students were an important part of the educational system and that their genuine concerns should be given proper consideration. According to the leaders, universities could only progress when students were provided with essential facilities, quality education and an environment where they could freely pursue their academic and intellectual activities.

The protesters called upon the university administration to improve hostel facilities, ensure the availability of clean drinking water, provide reliable transportation and strengthen healthcare services for students. They also demanded improvements in library facilities and other academic resources so that students could have better access to educational material.

The issue of campus facilities, according to the student leaders, was not limited to convenience but was directly connected with students’ educational performance and wellbeing.
