SUKKUR (Danish Rajput):<\/strong> An important meeting regarding preparations for the upcoming anti-polio campaign was held at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner\u2019s Office in Sukkur under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Nadir Shehzad Khan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting reviewed in detail the arrangements and preparations for the anti-polio campaign scheduled to be conducted from September 21 to 27, 2026<\/strong>, along with other matters related to the successful implementation of the campaign. Officials also presented a performance report on the polio booster dose campaign conducted during August<\/strong>, highlighting progress made in reaching children and ensuring their protection against preventable diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presiding over the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Nadir Shehzad Khan directed all concerned officers to review the campaign arrangements afresh in coordination with the taluka focal persons and representatives of other relevant departments. He specifically instructed Assistant Commissioner Rohri Urwa, Assistant Commissioner Pano Aqil and other concerned officials to ensure that all responsibilities were clearly defined and that field arrangements were made effective before the start of the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the anti-polio campaign was a national cause<\/strong> and required the collective efforts of all departments. He directed officers and officials to perform their assigned duties with dedication and responsibility, stressing that no negligence would be tolerated during the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further instructed the concerned authorities to submit daily performance reports<\/strong> so that progress could be monitored regularly and any shortcomings could be addressed immediately. He said that effective coordination among administrative officers, health officials, police, local government institutions and other departments was essential for achieving the desired targets of the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nadir Shehzad Khan also warned that individuals found involved in providing false information or making misleading statements during the campaign would face action in accordance with the law. He stressed the importance of maintaining transparency and ensuring that all information regarding vaccination activities, coverage and field performance was reported accurately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While discussing the August polio booster dose campaign, the Deputy Commissioner directed the health authorities and field teams to pay particular attention to indicators related to children\u2019s health and protection against various preventable diseases<\/strong>. He said that every eligible child should be reached and vaccinated according to the prescribed campaign protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He called for special attention to areas where children may remain unvaccinated due to mobility, access issues or other factors. Field teams were directed to maintain close coordination with local administration and community representatives to ensure that no child was missed during the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting also stressed the need for effective monitoring of vaccination teams and field activities. Officials were instructed to ensure the availability of required human resources and logistical support and to promptly address any issues encountered during field operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputy Commissioner Nadir Shehzad Khan said that the success of the anti-polio campaign depended not only on the performance of health workers but also on the cooperation and coordinated efforts of all government departments. He urged all officers to remain vigilant throughout the campaign and to ensure that the assigned responsibilities were carried out efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He directed the relevant officials to strengthen coordination mechanisms ahead of the September campaign so that teams could operate smoothly across all targeted areas of Sukkur district. He also emphasized the importance of regular monitoring and timely reporting to ensure that campaign targets were achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
