SANGI FHARHO: The Awami Tehreek held a public awareness rally in Sangi Fharho as part of its campaign against what it described as threats to Sindh\u2019s resources and interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rally started from the Jhudo-Tando Bago Road and culminated in a sit-in at the city\u2019s main intersection. Party leaders and workers distributed awareness pamphlets among shopkeepers, vendors and residents, urging them to spread the campaign\u2019s message in their villages and homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Central Coordination Secretary Lal Jarwar, Badin District President Mehran Dars and other leaders participated in the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing the gathering, the speakers opposed what they described as attempts to divide Sindh, control the Indus River and construct new canals and dams, including the Jalalpur Canal project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The leaders alleged that foreign powers were seeking greater influence in the region and accused political and state institutions of compromising Sindh\u2019s resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They said the people of Sindh would continue to protect their land and resources through peaceful democratic struggle and called for greater public awareness and unity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
