The survey found that globally about <strong>45 percent of women<\/strong> expressed fear when going out alone after dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report also noted an increase in complaints related to <strong>sexual harassment and violence<\/strong>, indicating that concerns about women\u2019s safety remain a major global issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite some improvement in the perception of <strong>Gender Equality<\/strong> worldwide, the survey found that women still feel significantly less secure compared to men. In many countries, women reported feeling unsafe at roughly <strong>twice the rate of men<\/strong> when walking alone at night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the findings showed a unique trend in <strong>Pakistan<\/strong>, where nearly the <strong>same proportion of men and women<\/strong> reported fear of going out alone at night. According to the survey, <strong>69 percent of men and 70 percent of women<\/strong> in the country said they feel afraid when walking alone after dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report also highlighted a rise in cases of sexual harassment reported by women globally. The proportion of women who said they had experienced harassment increased from <strong>7 percent to 10 percent<\/strong> worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among younger women aged <strong>18 to 24<\/strong>, the increase was even more noticeable. In this age group, reports of harassment rose by <strong>four percent<\/strong>, reaching <strong>20 percent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the percentage of women reporting that they had experienced <strong>violence<\/strong> also increased globally.
