MIRPURKHAS (Report by Khuda Bakhsh Chohan): The alleged raid by Satellite Town police on the office of lawyer brothers Francis and Jamshed Lokes at Chandni Chowk has sparked strong concern and anger among the legal community in Mirpurkhas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the incident, an emergency meeting of lawyers was held under the leadership of Sindh High Court Bar President Advocate Shaukat Rahmoon, District Bar Association Mirpurkhas President Advocate Haji Qalandar Bakhsh Laghari and Sindh High Court Bar General Secretary Advocate Kanji Mal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting discussed the alleged police action at the lawyers\u2019 office and its implications for the legal community. The participants expressed serious concern over the incident and announced a complete boycott of judicial proceedings for the next two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the decision, lawyers will boycott proceedings at the High Court, District and Sessions Court and subordinate courts in protest against the alleged raid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lawyers also announced that no police officer or personnel would be allowed to enter the premises of the courts during the boycott period. They further announced that the entry routes to the courts would be locked as part of their protest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The legal community has demanded an immediate investigation into the alleged incident and called for action against the officials responsible if the allegations are found to be correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lawyer leaders have specifically called upon DIG Mirpurkhas Range Captain (retd.) Faisal Abdullah Chachar to order an immediate inquiry into the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They also demanded action against Satellite Town police station SHO Inspector Alen Abbasi in connection with the alleged raid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lawyers maintained that any police action involving members of the legal community should be carried out strictly in accordance with the law and established procedures. They expressed concern over what they described as an incident affecting the dignity and independence of the legal profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The announcement of a two-day boycott is expected to affect proceedings in courts across Mirpurkhas, as lawyers have decided not to appear in judicial proceedings during the protest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dispute has brought relations between the legal community and local police under renewed scrutiny. Lawyers are seeking a transparent investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged raid and to establish whether any rules or legal procedures were violated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
