Islamabad: Iran has described Field Marshal Asim Munir\u2019s recent visit to the country as highly positive, saying the trip achieved significant diplomatic successes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a statement issued by the office of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, important diplomatic progress was made during the visit, while the results of the field marshal\u2019s meetings are expected to become visible soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni also said that meetings between Pakistani officials and senior Iranian leaders were held in a very cordial and positive atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, Pakistan\u2019s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that Field Marshal Asim Munir held meetings with President Masoud Pezeshkian and other senior Iranian officials. The discussions covered the Iran-US conflict, efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East, measures to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and ways to resolve regional disputes through dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to ISPR, the Iranian leadership appreciated Pakistan\u2019s constructive role and sincere efforts to facilitate negotiations, reduce tensions and promote a peaceful resolution to the conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
