Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has said that the family of Mir Raza will have to trust the judicial inquiry into the case, otherwise allegations and counter-allegations will continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, Wahab said the Sindh chief minister could not personally conduct the investigation, which was why the government had decided to establish a judicial commission to investigate the Mir Raza case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the judicial commission would prepare its report within 30 days and that action would be taken wherever negligence or wrongdoing was found during the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Wahab, the police and other investigative agencies would assist the judicial commission in carrying out its work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Karachi mayor said the government\u2019s priority was to satisfy Mir Raza\u2019s family by ensuring that the investigation was conducted properly and transparently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said any shortcomings or negligence that occurred during the case should be brought before the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wahab explained that Mir Raza\u2019s family did not have confidence in government representatives, which was why the government had decided to have the matter investigated through the judiciary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He urged the family to place their trust in the judicial commission and allow the investigation to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wahab said that the family, their lawyer and the government all wanted a proper investigation into the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that the purpose of establishing the judicial commission was to determine the facts and identify any negligence or failures during the handling of the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mayor said that if any wrongdoing was established, those responsible would face action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He stressed that a transparent investigation was necessary to address the concerns of the family and bring an end to the continuing allegations surrounding the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wahab maintained that the judicial commission would provide an independent forum for examining the circumstances of the case and determining whether any officials or institutions had failed in their responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
