BHRIYA CITY \u2014 Teachers affiliated with the Teachers Friends Panel (Sattiyo) of the Primary Teachers Association (PTA), Bhriya Taluka, staged a peaceful protest rally in Bhriya City to demand the acceptance of what they described as their legitimate service-related demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The protest was led by PTA Bhriya Taluka President Muhammad Qasim Junejo and General Secretary Bakshal Khan Dhounro, along with Haji Gulzar Memon, Ghulam Qadir Solangi, Divisional Information Secretary Ejaz Ali Bhatti, Abdul Hameed Arain, Sabir Hussain Bhatti, Ghulam Mustafa Bhatti and other teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carrying banners and placards highlighting their demands, the protesting teachers marched from the Government Campus Primary School towards the local press club. Upon reaching the press club, they held a demonstration and observed a one-hour symbolic hunger strike as part of their protest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking to the media during the demonstration, the teachers said that primary school educators had been facing a number of long-standing administrative and professional issues that required immediate attention from the Sindh government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of their key demands concerned the service structure of primary school teachers. The protesters claimed that the service structure had already been approved by the Chief Minister of Sindh but was subsequently held up by the Finance Department. They demanded that the approved service structure be restored and implemented without further delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The teachers argued that an appropriate and clearly defined service structure was essential for the professional development and career progression of primary school educators. They urged the provincial authorities to remove any administrative obstacles preventing implementation of the approved structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another major demand raised during the protest concerned the transfer system for teachers. The demonstrators called for teachers\u2019 transfer powers and procedures to be brought down to the district level, saying that decentralization would make the process more accessible and efficient for educators working in different parts of the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The protesters also raised concerns about technical problems reportedly being faced by teachers while using the Frame App. They demanded that the technical issues affecting the application be resolved so that teachers could use the system without unnecessary difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The teachers further demanded that educators appointed through initial appointments be regularized in accordance with applicable government policies and rules. They said the issue of regularization had created uncertainty among teachers and called for a clear and timely decision by the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
School timings were another issue highlighted during the demonstration. The protesting teachers demanded a review of existing school timings, arguing that the schedule should be reconsidered in light of practical conditions and the needs of teachers and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The participants said that primary teachers played an important role in the education system and that resolving their service-related concerns would help improve morale and ultimately contribute to better educational outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The protesters appealed to the Chief Minister of Sindh, the provincial education minister and other senior officials to take immediate notice of their demands and initiate steps to resolve the issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They emphasized that their protest was peaceful and aimed at drawing the attention of the government towards problems that, according to them, had remained unresolved for an extended period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The teachers said they hoped the provincial government would respond positively to their demands and engage with representatives of the teaching community to find practical solutions. They warned that if their concerns continued to be ignored, teachers\u2019 organizations could consider further peaceful measures in accordance with their rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The demonstration concluded after the participants reiterated their demands for implementation of the approved service structure, decentralization of teacher transfers, resolution of technical problems in the Frame App, regularization of teachers appointed through initial recruitment and a review of school timings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The protesters maintained that prompt action by the Sindh government could resolve the issues without the need for prolonged demonstrations and would help strengthen the confidence of primary teachers in the provincial education system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
