Mirpurkhas: An alleged case of fraudulent recruitment involving six Secondary School Teachers (SSTs) has been uncovered in the Education Department of Mirpurkhas, Sindh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to District Education Officer (DEO) Mir Fazal Talpur, a letter has been sent to the District Accounts Officer directing that the salaries of the six teachers allegedly recruited through fraudulent means be stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The DEO also said that the IT Data Centre has been asked to cancel the biometric records of the teachers identified as having allegedly been recruited illegally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the discovery, a departmental inquiry has reportedly been launched against the Director of Education, the DEO and two Taluka Education Officers to determine how the appointments were processed and who was responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Allegations of Fake Signatures<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mir Fazal Talpur said that he had never met or seen the teachers in question and denied any involvement in their recruitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He alleged that fake signatures and official stamps bearing the names of officials, including himself, were used in connection with the appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The DEO said that action was taken after complaints were received from the relevant Taluka Education Officers. The salaries of the six teachers were subsequently stopped while the matter was referred for investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talpur also said that he had submitted his response before the departmental inquiry committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investigation is expected to determine how the allegedly fraudulent appointments were processed, whether official records were manipulated and who authorized or facilitated the appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The involvement of biometric records has added another dimension to the case.
