8 Rabi-ul-Awwal holds a significant place in Islamic history. It is remembered as the day when the members of the family of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), including Hazrat Zainab (RA), Hazrat Umm Kulthum (RA), Hazrat Rubab (RA), Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS) and Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS), returned to Madina after enduring captivity in Kufa and Syria and helping keep the message of Islam alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the narration, Bashir was announcing in Madina: \u201cO people of Madina, the granddaughters of the Messenger of Allah and the daughters of Maula Ali have arrived. The sons of the Prophet\u2019s family have returned to Madina.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The caravan had departed from Madina with 57 riders, but only three riders returned. Hazrat Fatima Sughra (RA), accompanied by her grandmother, arrived among the people but could not recognize her family members because of the hardships and changes brought about by captivity. She asked about Hazrat Ali Akbar and Hazrat Ali Asghar (RA), saying that those she saw did not appear to be her loved ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS) then called his sister, embraced her and recounted the tragedy and martyrdom of the members of their family. Hazrat Zainab (RA) and the other women of the family also remembered the martyrs of Karbala with profound grief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The narration further recalls that Hazrat Umm-e-Salma (RA) asked about the condition of the family of the Prophet and learned of the tragedy of Karbala. The mother of Hazrat Abbas (RA) also asked Bashir about her son, while the family members mourned those who had been martyred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After Karbala, Hazrat Rubab (RA) is remembered as having remained deeply grief-stricken, refusing to drink water and constantly remembering her beloved son, Hazrat Ali Asghar (RA), and Hazrat Sakina (RA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
