The main ceremony was held at the Municipal Stadium Larkana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Larkana Tariq Manzoor Chandio, Mayor Municipal Corporation Larkana Advocate Anwar Ali Lehar, District Council Chairman Larkana Ijaz Ahmed Laghari, Deputy Mayor Larkana Muhammad Amin Sheikh and other dignitaries jointly hoisted the national flag, while the national anthem was played.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants also raised enthusiastic slogans of \u201cPakistan Zindabad\u201d and \u201cPak Army Zindabad.\u201d The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat. Children from Sweet Home and various schools presented colourful tableaux and performances to national songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Larkana Tariq Manzoor Chandio said Independence Day celebrations had been continuing across the district from August 1 to August 14 and the day&#8217;s ceremony was part of these celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the elders and freedom fighters of the nation had rendered immense sacrifices before the country achieved independence. Pakistan was liberated in 1947 under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and today the people were living as a free nation at every level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mayor Municipal Corporation Larkana Advocate Anwar Ali Lehar said Pakistan had completed 79 years of independence and the achievements made by the country during this period were evident to everyone. He said the Pakistan Armed Forces remained ready at all times to defend the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mayor also enthusiastically led slogans of \u201cPakistan Zindabad\u201d and \u201cPak Army Zindabad\u201d during the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">District Council Chairman Larkana Ijaz Ahmed Laghari congratulated the people on Independence Day and said freedom was a great blessing that must be valued. He said the freedom enjoyed by the nation had been achieved through great struggle, determination and sacrifices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputy Mayor Larkana Muhammad Amin Sheikh said Pakistan had completed 79 years as an independent country and had achieved significant successes during this period.
