{"id":10886,"date":"2026-08-13T10:50:49","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T10:50:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=10886"},"modified":"2026-08-13T10:50:49","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T10:50:49","slug":"thar-desert-train-safari-to-depart-today-from-karachi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=10886","title":{"rendered":"Thar Desert Train Safari to depart today from Karachi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>KARACHI: The Sindh government will launch a special Thar Desert Train Safari today (Thursday) as part of celebrations marking Pakistan\u2019s 79th Independence Day.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The special train will depart from Karachi and travel through Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Umerkot before reaching Khokhrapar, offering passengers an opportunity to explore the region\u2019s historical and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The safari will be inaugurated at Karachi Cantonment Railway Station by Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 165 tourists are expected to take part in the journey, which will include visits to historical and cultural sites across Sindh as well as the Pakistan-India border area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A special Independence Day ceremony will also be held at Parchi Ji Veri, where participants will mark the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Read more:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/thar-desert-train-safari-ticket-price-other-details-revealed\">Thar Desert Train Safari: Ticket price, other details revealed<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants will be welcomed at various railway stations along the route and will also distribute national flags among members of the public as part of the Independence Day celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Route<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The train will operate from Karachi to Chhore near Pakistan\u2019s border with India, passing through Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas, offering passengers a glimpse of Sindh\u2019s vibrant culture and stunning desert landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Activities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Chhor (Parchi Jeveri), the tour includes sunset viewing, a bonfire, music, and dinner.
