{"id":10855,"date":"2026-08-12T12:30:30","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T12:30:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=10855"},"modified":"2026-08-12T12:30:31","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T12:30:31","slug":"shaikh-ayaz-university-shikarpur-and-segi-university-malaysia-establish-strategic-partnership-to-promote-higher-education-and-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=10855","title":{"rendered":"Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur and SEGi University Malaysia Establish Strategic Partnership to Promote Higher Education and Research"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SHIKARPUR:<\/strong> Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur and SEGi University Malaysia have established a strategic academic partnership aimed at promoting higher education, research, student and faculty exchanges, and international academic collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A virtual signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was held between the two universities, attended by senior leadership, faculty members, officers and focal persons from both institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MoU was signed by Vice Chancellor of Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur, Professor Dr. Naveed Ahmed Sheikh, and Vice Chancellor of SEGi University Malaysia, Datin Professor Dr. Mariani Binti Mad Nor, representing their respective institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ceremony was held online at 11am Pakistan time. It began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Dr. Riaz Ahmed Soomro, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences at Shaikh Ayaz University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The focal persons of the two universities, Dr. Nadir Hussain Bhayo and Dr. Fani Tian, welcomed the participants and briefed them about the objectives and programme of the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both vice chancellors addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of the new partnership. The formal signing of the MoU was subsequently completed through signatures on printed documents as well as an online process using screen sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ceremony also featured an open discussion and exchange of ideas between representatives of the two universities before concluding with a group photograph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr. Naveed Ahmed Sheikh said the signing of the MoU with SEGi University Malaysia was an important milestone for Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the partnership would provide students and faculty members of the university with greater opportunities to participate in international academic and research activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to him, the collaboration would particularly promote academic and research links in education, business, computer science, information technology and English studies, among other disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He expressed hope that the partnership would create new opportunities for students and teachers to gain international academic experience while also encouraging joint research initiatives between the two institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SEGi University Malaysia Vice Chancellor Datin Professor Dr. Mariani Binti Mad Nor welcomed Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur as an academic and research partner. She said the partnership reflected a shared vision of creating global educational opportunities and strengthening intercultural academic links for the benefit of the academic communities of both universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the MoU, the universities will cooperate in various undergraduate and graduate-level programmes. These will include Bachelor of Education, MPhil and PhD in Education, Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Business Administration, BS Computer Science, Information Technology, Commerce, Mathematics, English Language and Literature, as well as other relevant disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement will also provide opportunities for students to participate in short-term academic visits, summer and vacation programmes, and semester-based exchange programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Faculty exchange programmes will also be developed to facilitate teaching, research and joint academic projects between the two universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another important component of the agreement is collaboration in research. Both institutions will explore opportunities for joint research projects, preparation of research papers, joint supervision of postgraduate students, thesis examinations and mutual participation on editorial boards of academic journals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The universities will also have opportunities to jointly organize symposiums, seminars, conferences, guest lectures and workshops. Such activities are expected to strengthen academic interaction and provide students and faculty members with broader exposure to international educational practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his concluding remarks, Dr. Nadir Hussain Bhayo, Head Teacher of the Department of Education and focal person at Shaikh Ayaz University, thanked all participants for attending the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the partnership would provide a foundation for productive and effective educational and research cooperation between the two institutions in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MoU will initially remain effective for five years.
