Following the increase, diesel will now be available at <strong>Rs382.25 per litre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The price of <strong>kerosene oil has been reduced by 27 paisas per litre<\/strong>, with its new price fixed at <strong>Rs289.68 per litre<\/strong>, according to the notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government has also revised the petroleum levy applicable to diesel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>petroleum levy on diesel has been increased by Rs2 per litre<\/strong>, bringing the levy to <strong>Rs76.28 per litre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The levy on petrol, however, has been maintained at <strong>Rs80 per litre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similarly, the petroleum levy on kerosene oil has remained unchanged at <strong>Rs20.36 per litre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest revision means consumers will see a mixed impact on fuel prices, with petrol and kerosene becoming slightly cheaper while diesel becomes more expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diesel is widely used by the transport, agriculture and industrial sectors, meaning changes in its price can have a broader impact on transportation and production costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The revised prices have been announced by the government following the latest review of petroleum prices and related costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The changes are expected to influence transportation expenses and, indirectly, the prices of goods and services across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the notification, the new prices are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Petrol:<\/strong> Rs325.92 per litre \u2014 down Rs1.70<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>High-Speed Diesel:<\/strong> Rs382.25 per litre \u2014 up Rs1.39<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kerosene Oil:<\/strong> Rs289.68 per litre \u2014 down 27 paisas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government has kept the petrol levy at Rs80 per litre and the kerosene levy at Rs20.36 per litre, while increasing the diesel levy to Rs76.28 per litre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest adjustment comes amid continued volatility in international oil markets, where crude prices have recently moved higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Changes in global crude prices, the exchange rate and petroleum-related taxes and levies are among the factors considered when determining domestic fuel prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new rates are expected to be reflected at petrol stations across Pakistan following the issuance of the official notification.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The government has announced new prices for petroleum products, with the price of petrol reduced while diesel has become more expensive.
