SUKKUR (Bureau Report):<\/strong> A protest demonstration was held outside the Sukkur Press Club against the alleged brutal killing of a young man, Sufyan Rind<\/strong>, and the reported failure to arrest suspects nominated in the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protest was organized by Abdul Shakoor Rind<\/strong>, a resident of Rind Abro village in Kot Diji taluka of Khairpur district and uncle of the deceased. The protesters raised slogans against the police and demanded that senior authorities take immediate notice of the incident and ensure justice and protection for the victim’s family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to journalists, Abdul Shakoor Rind alleged that influential criminal elements operating in the area had demanded Rs500,000 as extortion money<\/strong> from him. He claimed that he refused to pay the demanded amount and that, following the refusal, the alleged elements targeted his nephew, Sufyan Rind, and brutally killed him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protesters said that following the incident, a case was registered at the relevant police station against Abdul Wahid Rind and his associates<\/strong>. However, they alleged that effective action had not yet been taken against the nominated suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Abdul Shakoor Rind, the suspects were allegedly moving around openly despite being nominated in the murder case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further alleged that members of the victim’s family had also been receiving threats after approaching the police, creating an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complainant claimed that the nominated individuals were allegedly wanted by police in connection with various crimes in the area. He questioned why they had not yet been arrested despite their alleged involvement in criminal activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdul Shakoor Rind expressed concern that continued delays in arresting the suspects could place the victim’s family and other affected people at further risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Sindh Chief Minister, Inspector General of Sindh Police, Deputy Inspector General Sukkur and Senior Superintendent of Police Khairpur<\/strong> to take immediate notice of the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He demanded that the nominated suspects be arrested without delay, that the murder investigation be conducted transparently and that those responsible be dealt with strictly according to law if the allegations are established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protesters also demanded comprehensive protection for the deceased’s family and other people allegedly affected by the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They said that the family should not be left vulnerable to further threats or intimidation and called upon law-enforcement authorities to ensure their safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protesters warned that if the nominated suspects were not arrested and adequate security was not provided to the victim’s family, they would expand their protest and launch further demonstrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They emphasized that the family was seeking justice through legal and peaceful means and urged senior police officials to intervene immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protesters also called for an impartial investigation into the alleged extortion demand and the circumstances surrounding Sufyan Rind’s killing so that the facts could be established and those responsible could be brought to justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The allegations made by the protesters have not been independently verified, and the nominated individuals are entitled to due process and a fair investigation unless their guilt is established by a competent court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
