{"id":10770,"date":"2026-08-12T10:48:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T10:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=10770"},"modified":"2026-08-12T10:48:00","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T10:48:00","slug":"cultural-diversity-and-heritage-celebrated-at-sindh-agriculture-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=10770","title":{"rendered":"Cultural Diversity and Heritage Celebrated at Sindh Agriculture University"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TANDOJAM (Report: Mehboob Hussain Bozdar):<\/strong> A colourful cultural event titled <strong>\u201cCultural Diversity and Exhibition of Different Cultures\u201d<\/strong> was organized at the Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam as part of celebrations marking Pakistan\u2019s 79th Independence Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was held at the <strong>Dr. A.M. Sheikh Auditorium Hall<\/strong>, where the cultures, traditions, traditional attire, languages, music, lifestyles and agricultural heritage of different provinces and regions of Pakistan were showcased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The chief guest, <strong>Dean Faculty of Crop Production Dr. Inayatullah Rajpar<\/strong>, said that the ancient civilization and culture of Sindh associated with the Indus River represented a historical heritage spanning thousands of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the diverse cultures of Pakistan\u2019s provinces and regions collectively formed a beautiful bouquet representing the country\u2019s national culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Rajpar described Pakistan\u2019s cultural diversity as a symbol of the country\u2019s <strong>national strength, tolerance and mutual respect<\/strong>. He noted that there were also deep similarities in the agricultural cultures of different regions because Pakistan\u2019s economy, civilization and rural way of life were closely connected with agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the people of Sindh had a particularly strong attachment to their agricultural culture. This affection, he added, could even be seen in the tradition of naming children after flowers, fruits, trees and beautiful birds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Rajpar emphasized the need to preserve the country\u2019s cultural heritage while introducing younger generations to its historical and cultural significance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dean Faculty of Crop Protection Dr. Abdul Mubeen Lodhi<\/strong> said Pakistan\u2019s fine arts, literature, poetry, music, dance and traditional clothing reflected the country\u2019s rich history and strong cultural foundations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said culture was the identity of every nation, making it essential to connect young people with their cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on the occasion, <strong>STEP Chairman Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar<\/strong> said Pakistan\u2019s diverse languages, clothing, music, dances, cuisines, customs, traditions and social practices demonstrated that the country was culturally rich and highly diverse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He highlighted the distinctive cultural identity of Sindh, including the <strong>Sindhi cap, ajrak, ralli, lungi and traditional hospitality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the cultures of <strong>Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan<\/strong> also contributed unique colours and traditions to Pakistan\u2019s national cultural landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dr. Tahseen Fatima Miano, Dr. Zaheer Khan<\/strong> and other speakers also addressed the gathering.
