SUKKUR (Bureau Report):<\/strong> A woman from New Pind Bhosa Line, Sukkur, staged a protest outside the Sukkur Press Club along with her young children, alleging that the nominated suspect in the murder of her husband had not been arrested despite the registration of a case and ongoing court proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The woman, Ms. Safia Chandio<\/strong>, alleged that her husband, Muntahar Chandio<\/strong>, was allegedly killed in Larkana about a year ago by a man identified as Shahid Chandio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to the media during the protest, Safia Chandio said a case was registered at the relevant police station following her husband\u2019s murder and that the matter was subsequently taken to court, where proceedings are still underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, she alleged that despite the passage of nearly a year, the nominated suspect, Shahid Chandio, had not been arrested and was still moving freely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grieving woman further alleged that members of the victim\u2019s family had continuously been subjected to threats and pressure to withdraw the murder case and stop pursuing their complaints before the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Safia Chandio, she has been facing severe financial difficulties and fear since the death of her husband while raising her children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She claimed that the nominated suspect and his alleged associates had repeatedly threatened her and her family and pressured them to withdraw the case and complaints submitted to the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said the alleged threats had created an atmosphere of fear and insecurity for both her and her children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safia Chandio further alleged that she had approached police authorities on several occasions, submitting applications and complaints seeking the arrest of the nominated suspect and protection for herself and her children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, she claimed that the police had allegedly delayed taking effective action and that the suspect continued to remain at large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protesting woman appealed to senior police officials and the relevant administration to take immediate notice of her complaint and ensure the arrest of the person nominated in her husband\u2019s murder case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She demanded that the murder case be investigated transparently and that anyone found responsible be dealt with strictly according to the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also called for immediate security measures for herself and her children, saying that the alleged threats had made them feel unsafe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The woman said she was not seeking anything beyond justice for her late husband and protection for her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She urged the authorities to review the progress of the murder investigation and ensure that the case proceeds according to the law so that the victim\u2019s family can receive justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safia Chandio also requested that the authorities take notice of the alleged pressure being exerted on the family to withdraw the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said that families of victims should be able to pursue legal proceedings without fear, intimidation or external pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protest highlighted the family\u2019s concerns regarding the alleged delay in the arrest of the nominated suspect and the security situation faced by the deceased\u2019s widow and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The allegations made by Safia Chandio have not been independently verified, and the nominated suspect or his representatives have not publicly provided their version of the allegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
