{"id":10576,"date":"2026-01-16T14:45:55","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T14:45:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=10576"},"modified":"2026-01-16T14:45:56","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T14:45:56","slug":"google-maps-gets-a-major-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=10576","title":{"rendered":"Google Maps gets a major update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Google Maps has finally introduced a redesigned <strong>Settings<\/strong> page for Android users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Google Maps settings had not been updated for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a report by 9to5Google, the new settings design has been rolled out for a limited number of users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The layout of this settings design is now clearer and organized into seven categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These categories include <strong>Apps &amp; Display, Navigation, Your Vehicles, Location &amp; Privacy, Offline Maps, Notifications,<\/strong> and <strong>About &amp; Terms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>sign-out button<\/strong> is now available in Google Maps, which is a notable improvement over the previous design, where users had to scroll far down to sign out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Google has also updated the <strong>navigation style<\/strong> within the settings page. Previously, the back arrow to exit settings was located at the top-left corner, but it has now been replaced with an <strong>X mark<\/strong> at the top-right corner, allowing users to close the settings page more quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some settings options have been <strong>reorganized<\/strong>, while others remain the same as before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Google Maps has finally introduced a redesigned Settings page for Android users.
