ISLAMABAD:<\/strong> Russia is working with Pakistan to launch the first freight rail services on the Moscow-Faisalabad and Moscow-Karachi routes, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev has said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Russian ambassador made the announcement during an interview with the Russian newspaper Izvestia<\/strong>, where he discussed ongoing cooperation between Moscow and Islamabad in the transportation and logistics sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the interview, Ambassador Khorev was asked whether Russia and Pakistan were working on launching a pilot freight rail service through the Minsk-Moscow-Karachi corridor and what stage the project had reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responding to the question, the Russian envoy said that Moscow was working closely with its Pakistani partners to launch the first freight rail services operating in both directions on the Moscow-Faisalabad and Moscow-Karachi routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
