SUKKUR:<\/strong> Concern has been raised among residents over the alleged open sale and distribution of narcotics, including ice (crystal methamphetamine) and heroin, in parts of Sukkur. Citizens have urged senior police officials to take immediate notice of the situation and conduct a transparent and impartial investigation into the allegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to local sources and claims made by residents, several individuals have allegedly been involved in the sale and distribution of narcotics in the area for an extended period. The allegations have been levelled against Zakir alias Munda Mirani, Shahnawaz alias Shino Mirani and Lapo Mirani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents claim that the alleged activities are not limited to the sale of drugs. They have further alleged that locations are being provided where drug users can sit and consume narcotics. According to the complaints, such activities are creating concern among local residents and are particularly worrying for families who fear that young people could become exposed to drug use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The allegations, however, have not been independently verified, and no conclusion regarding the involvement of the named individuals can be drawn without a proper investigation by the relevant authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents have called on the police to investigate the claims and determine whether narcotics are being sold openly in the area. They have also urged law enforcement authorities to identify the sources supplying drugs and take action against anyone found to be involved in their transportation, sale or distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior police officials have been urged to take immediate notice of the complaints and order a fact-based inquiry into the allegations. Residents have demanded that investigators determine whether the named individuals are involved in drug-related activities and, if sufficient evidence is found, initiate legal proceedings in accordance with the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, citizens have stressed that any police officer found to have facilitated, protected or assisted illegal drug activity should also face appropriate legal and departmental action following due process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The residents have appealed to senior police authorities to ensure that the investigation remains independent and transparent. They said that effective action against narcotics requires not only targeting street-level sellers but also identifying the networks responsible for supplying drugs and providing protection to those involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizens further urged authorities to increase monitoring in areas where drug-related activity is suspected and to take preventive measures to protect young people from becoming involved in narcotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They said that the fight against drug abuse cannot be successful without cooperation between law enforcement agencies and local communities. Residents should be able to report suspected drug activity without fear, while authorities must respond to credible complaints through lawful and evidence-based investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The citizens have expressed hope that senior police officials will take the allegations seriously, establish the facts and ensure that anyone found responsible for drug trafficking or related offences is dealt with according to law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
