NAUSHAHRO FEROZE:<\/strong> The Sindhi Adabi Sangat (Sindhi Literary Association), Naushahro Feroze chapter, held a protest rally under the slogan \u201cSindh, My Mother\u201d<\/strong> in response to a central call by the organization against what participants described as attempts to undermine the territorial unity of Sindh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A large number of poets, writers, journalists and socially active citizens participated in the rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The demonstration was organized as part of a province-wide protest announced by the central leadership of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat. Participants raised slogans and expressed their opposition to any proposal or political move aimed at dividing Sindh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speakers Reject Division of Sindh<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the rally, Sindhi Adabi Sangat District Coordination Secretary Syed Mukhtar Shah<\/strong>, Naushahro Feroze chapter Secretary Qazi Zulfiqar<\/strong>, M. Zafar Tagar<\/strong>, Press Club President Younis Rajpar<\/strong>, Khadim Hussain Mari<\/strong>, Yousuf Mangi<\/strong>, Khadim Hussain Sial<\/strong>, Faqeer Mehr Behan<\/strong>, Ali Nawaz Solangi<\/strong>, Sodhal Mehr<\/strong>, Jabbar Mallah<\/strong> and others expressed strong opposition to any attempt to divide the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The speakers said the Sindhi Adabi Sangat had issued a timely call for protest and maintained that Sindh’s poets, writers and political and social activists would not accept the division of Sindh under any circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They said that people from different sections of Sindh would continue to raise their voices against any proposal that, in their view, threatens the province’s territorial and administrative unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reference to Pakistan Movement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The speakers also referred to Sindh’s historical role in the creation of Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They claimed that Sindh was the first province to pass a resolution supporting the creation of Pakistan and argued that attempts to divide the province were therefore unacceptable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protesters alleged that efforts were now being made to undermine Sindh’s unity and called for such discussions to be stopped immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They emphasized that Sindh’s identity and territorial integrity should be respected and protected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comparison With Other Provinces<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The speakers also referred to resolutions passed by the provincial assemblies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab<\/strong> several years ago regarding the creation of additional provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They argued that although such resolutions had been passed in those provinces, new provinces had not been created there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The speakers questioned why proposals concerning the division of Sindh were being raised when similar resolutions elsewhere had not resulted in the creation of new provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They said that any attempt to divide Sindh would face strong opposition from its people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warning of Wider Protest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The protesters warned that they would not accept any move aimed at dividing Sindh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They called upon the authorities and political forces to immediately stop what they described as rhetoric or proposals concerning the division of the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The speakers warned that if such efforts continued, millions of people from Sindh could take to the streets in protest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They said the literary community, along with political, social and civil-society groups, would continue to raise their voices through peaceful democratic means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rally concluded with participants reiterating their commitment to protecting what they described as the unity, identity and territorial integrity of Sindh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
