Residents Accuse Bhit Shah Police of Home Raid and Cattle Theft — Qambrani Community Protests

Matiari (Report by Zubair Ahmed Kalhoro)
Residents of Bhit Shah — including Bahadur Qambrani, Meendhro Qambrani, Ms. Zulekhan Qambrani, Faheem Qambrani, and Sameer Ahmed Qambrani — have staged a protest, accusing the local police of unlawful raids and theft.

According to the protesters, a few days ago, Bhit Shah Police Station’s SHO, Ali Muhammad Bajir, along with his team, allegedly raided their homes without a warrant. They claimed that the officers entered their houses forcibly and took away eight buffaloes, some of which were milking and others pregnant. The victims said that they had already filed a case in court regarding the matter, and an official inquiry is also underway under the supervision of the DSP Hala.

They further alleged that on another occasion, early in the morning, the same SHO led another police raid at their homes near Bhit Shah Mori, where the officers “broke in like bandits” and arrested their young relative, Muhammad Salah Qambrani, who is partially visually impaired.

The Qambrani family appealed to elected representatives and senior police officials to provide them protection from the alleged injustices of SHO Ali Muhammad Bajir. They demanded a transparent investigation and the return of their stolen livestock.
