Sukkur
A solemn ceremony marking the chehlum (fortieth day of passing) of the late Ali Hassan Khan Gadai, father of SSP Sanghar Abid Ali Baloch, Additional Collector Customs Sajid Ali Baloch, Kashif Ali Baloch, Faheem Ali Baloch, and Ali Jan Baloch, was held at the Railway Officers Club in Sukkur. The event was organized for the Eesal-e-Sawab (spiritual reward) of the departed soul and featured Khayrat Fi Sabeelillah (charitable food distribution) in his memory.
The ceremony witnessed a large turnout of political, social, administrative, and journalistic figures from Sukkur, reflecting the high regard in which the late Ali Hassan Khan was held. Among the prominent attendees were Member National Assembly Nauman Islam Sheikh, former MPA Syed Javed Shah, Sindh National Forum Central Organizer Ahmed Ali Khoso, and Sukkur National Press Club (Registered) President Taj Rind. Senior journalists including Sahil Jogi, K.B. Sheikh, Prag Sharma, and Adam Shambani were also present.
From the law enforcement and administrative circles, SSP Khairpur Hassan Niazi, SSP Special Branch Sukkur Mansoor Mughal, DSP Site Sukkur Raheem Khoso, DSP City Badruddin Bhutto, and other officials attended the event. Several respected social and community personalities, including Anwar Ali Mehr, Mir Shafiqur Rehman Rind, and Farhan Ali Shah, also participated in the gathering.
During the ceremony, attendees offered Fateha and prayed for the forgiveness and elevation of ranks of the late Ali Hassan Khan Gadai in the hereafter. The participants also extended their heartfelt condolences to the Baloch family, expressing solidarity and praying for their patience and strength during this period of grief.
The event not only served as a religious observance but also as a reminder of the strong community bonds that connect Sukkur’s social, political, and journalistic circles.
