Larkana – October 18, 2024:
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) District Larkana, under the leadership of District President and MNA Khursheed Ahmed Junejo and General Secretary and Chairman District Council Larkana Ejaz Ahmed Leghari, organized a solemn ceremony at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto to pay homage to the martyrs of the October 18, 2007 Karsaz tragedy.
On this occasion, Quran Khwani was held at the graves of the martyrs to offer Eesal-e-Sawab for their departed souls. Following the recitation, floral wreaths were laid on the martyrs’ tombs as a gesture of deep respect and remembrance. Party leaders, workers, and office bearers collectively prayed for the martyrs, acknowledging their ultimate sacrifice in the struggle for democracy and the protection of the people’s rights.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of district and taluka-level officials, including Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, District Council members, and representatives of various PPP wings and affiliated organizations, along with numerous party workers and local dignitaries. Their presence reflected the continued unity and commitment of PPP members to uphold the democratic vision and sacrifices made by their leaders and party comrades.
Speaking to media representatives and participants, senior party figures emphasized that the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy laid down their lives for the restoration and continuation of democracy in Pakistan. Their courage and devotion, they said, remain a source of inspiration and pride for every PPP worker.
