A villager from the Kingri area has accused influential individuals of severe harassment, illegal logging, and attempts to seize his property, demanding protection from the authorities. The incident came to light after Saith Ali Narejo, a resident of village Kamber Narejo, held a protest in Pir Goth before local journalists, alleging that powerful figures from his community have been oppressing him for several days.
According to Saith Ali, influential men — identified as Raheem Bux Narejo, Murtaza, and Muhammad Hassan Narejo — have allegedly destroyed his valuable trees worth millions of rupees and are now attempting to forcibly occupy his home. He claimed that when he raised his voice and protested against these injustices, the accused began threatening him with murder, leaving him and his family in a state of constant fear and distress.
The villager said he has filed complaints with the local police, but despite multiple reports, no action has been taken against the perpetrators so far. He expressed frustration over the police’s inaction, stating that he feels unprotected and that his life is in grave danger.
Saith Ali further added that the influential individuals of his area are misusing their power and connections to suppress poor villagers and seize their lands without consequence. He appealed to senior authorities, including the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sukkur and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur, to take immediate notice of the situation.
He urged the officials to ensure strict legal action against the accused, recovery of his property, and adequate security for his family. The villager concluded by saying that if justice is not served soon, he will be compelled to stage further protests and approach higher authorities for protection and accountability.
