Khairpur Mirs, October 9, 2025 — In compliance with the directives of the Sindh High Court, Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Hussain Rahoojo conducted interviews for the recruitment of disabled individuals for government posts ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 4 across Khairpur district. The initiative aims to ensure fair employment opportunities for differently-abled citizens in accordance with provincial government policies promoting inclusivity in the public sector.

The interviews were held at the Sachal Sarmast Hall in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Khairpur. The process was jointly supervised by a panel of senior government officials including Section Officer (SR-I) Mir Muzammil Hussain, representing the Sindh Government’s Services, General Administration and Coordination Department (S&GAD), Additional Deputy Commissioner Iqbal Hussain Jandran, Assistant Commissioner Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, District Officer Ayaz Hussain Mahesar, Assistant Commissioner Darya Khan Chandio, Dr. Syed Najaf Shah, Dr. Mushtaq Bhambhro, Education Officer Ateeq-ur-Rehman Memon, and Focal Person Secondary Baksh Ali Rajpar, among others.

More than 300 disabled candidates from various towns and villages of Khairpur district appeared for the interviews. Each candidate’s national identity card, disability certificate, and educational credentials were carefully verified during the session. The panel also conducted a brief round of questions to evaluate the applicants’ qualifications, skills, and suitability for the available positions.

According to district officials, this recruitment process reflects the government’s commitment to implementing the job quota reserved for persons with disabilities, ensuring their integration into the workforce. The initiative is part of a broader policy designed to uphold their social and economic rights and reduce discrimination in employment.

Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Hussain Rahoojo, while speaking on the occasion, emphasized the importance of providing equal opportunities to differently-abled individuals. He noted that every citizen, regardless of physical ability, has the right to earn a respectable livelihood and contribute to the nation’s progress. He also appreciated the efforts of the Sindh government and the High Court for ensuring that such recruitment processes are conducted transparently and systematically across all districts.

Officials added that after completing document verification and interview assessments, the final merit list will be compiled and forwarded to the relevant departments for appointment letters to be issued. The selected candidates will be assigned to various administrative, educational, and support service roles according to their qualifications and abilities.

The initiative was widely welcomed by participants and members of the civil society, who praised the district administration’s commitment to empowering the disabled community. They expressed hope that such measures would continue to expand across Sindh, helping hundreds of disabled individuals achieve self-reliance and dignity through public service employment.
