Israel has attacked the Freedom Flotilla, carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, and taken control of three ships, according to international news agencies.
The Israeli navy targeted the flotilla approximately 120 nautical miles from the Israeli blockade point.
Flotilla organizers posted on social media platform X that the attack occurred 120 nautical miles from Gaza, and at least three vessels have been boarded by Israeli forces. Most live broadcasts from the flotilla were reportedly cut off by Israeli authorities.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that all passengers aboard the flotilla ships are safe. They confirmed that the individuals on board were transferred to an Israeli port and will soon be returned to their home countries.
This incident follows a previous attack by Israel on the Global Steadfast Flotilla, in which over 500 participants were detained, although most have since been released. Among the released was former Pakistani Senator Mushtaq Ahmed.
