Hyderabad A grand ceremony was organized at the Government Boys Primary School Haji Muhammad Ismail Lakho to mark World Teachers’ Day. The event was attended by a large number of teachers, students, and respected members of the community to pay tribute to the invaluable services of teachers.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. Students including Farman Lakho, Muzammil Hussain, Zain-ul-Abidin Memon, Rehan Ali Laghari, and Aqeel Ahmed expressed their views on the occasion. They said that they salute their teachers who work with dedication and sincerity to impart education and shape their futures. The students emphasized that education is the key to progress, and through the tireless efforts of their teachers, they are moving towards a better and brighter future.
They further added that due to the hard work of their teachers, hundreds of graduates from this school are now serving in various government and private organizations in prominent positions, which stands as a testament to the teachers’ devotion and commitment.
Headmaster Muhammad Akhtar Arain, along with teachers Jan Muhammad Lakho, Amjad Ali Theem, and Jazib Hussain, also addressed the gathering. They highlighted that both parents and teachers play a vital role in every student’s success. Teachers, they said, are the guiding lights who shape students’ character, instill discipline, and help them achieve their dreams through honesty, diligence, and perseverance.
Headmaster Arain remarked that since its establishment, the school has maintained a tradition of academic excellence owing to the dedication and consistent efforts of its teaching staff. Today, many of its alumni are working in diverse sectors, bringing pride to their school and teachers.
At the end of the ceremony, students presented tributes to their teachers and expressed gratitude for their role in building a knowledgeable and responsible generation. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to commemorate World Teachers’ Day, marking the occasion with joy, appreciation, and a renewed spirit of commitment to education.
The event concluded with applause and warm exchanges between teachers and students, reaffirming the noble bond that defines the foundation of every great society — the relationship between a teacher and a learner.
