Bahawalpur: A boat capsized in the Bet Bakhri area of Tehsil Uch Sharif.
According to rescue officials, three people were on board the boat that overturned in Uch Sharif, all of whom were rescued in time, while the private boat has been taken into custody.
Rescue officials said that the people on board the private boat were carrying food for their family members who had remained at home.
On the other hand, the District Emergency Officer said that floodwater coming from Jalalpur Pirwala has entered the riverine areas of Tehsil Ahmedpur Sharqia, submerging more than 100 villages.
According to the District Emergency Officer, rescue operations are still underway in the affected areas; however, many people are still staying in their homes and are unwilling to leave.
